Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) – with the slogan “Rubber – The Flow of Life” – is one of Viet Nam’s leading economic groups, operating in multiple sectors within the rubber industry and its related industrial value chain.
VRG focuses on key fields including: natural rubber cultivation, tapping and processing; rubber industrial products manufacturing; industrial park development; wood processing; high-tech agriculture; and clean and renewable energy.

FIELD OF PLANTING, EXPLOITATION AND PROCESSING OF RUBBER

The group manages nearly 377,800 hectares of rubber plantations spread across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Annually, VRG produces over 500,000 tons of rubber across various grades and types, serving both domestic and international markets. VRG has expanded its market reach to over 70 countries, with leading corporations and distributors in Japan, South Korea, China, the United States, and Europe among its customers.

WOOD PROCESSING SECTOR

Wood processing is a key strength of VRG, supported by a vast and sustainable raw material base. The Group currently has 16 factories producing fiberboard, plywood, and refined wood, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters. The MDF (medium-density fiberboard) production capacity accounts for 1,052,000 cubic meters annually, representing 50% of Vietnam's total MDF output.

Currently, VRG rubber products include: The Group's rubber industrial products include: tires branded VRG, rubber mattresses, gloves, sports balls, rubber yarn, conveyor belts. These products have established strong market reputations, trusted by both domestic and international customers.

FIELDS OF INVESTMENT IN INDUSTRIAL PARKS

With the strong momentum of industrialization and modernization, the Group has identified the development of industrial parks and infrastructure on rubber land as one of the key areas to attract investment from both domestic and international businesses, contributing to the economic growth of the country.

FIELD OF APPLIED HIGH-TECH AGRICULTURE

High-tech agriculture is another area of focus, as VRG seeks to maximize land- use efficiency and diversify its operations. The Group is gradually converting select rubber plantation areas-particularly those with favorable infrastructure and water resources-into high-tech agricultural zones.

CLEAN AND RENEWABLE ENERGY

In addition to traditional industries, VRG is expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector. Recognizing the potential of clean energy sources, the Group is actively developing solar power, wind power, and pumped-storage hydropower projects. Currently, VRG operates four hydropower companies, including Geruco Song Con Hydropower Joint Stock Company, VRG Phu Yen, VRG Bao Loc and VRG Dak Nong.

Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) was established in 1975 and is one of Viet Nam’s key state-owned economic groups. The Group has since been restructured and currently operates as a joint-stock company, with more than 97% of its charter capital owned by the Government of Viet Nam.
