Implementing digital transformation in the rubber industry, at Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., a young officer has quietly “redrawn” the entire land and garden map using modern technology. That person is Mr. Hoang Van Canh – an officer of the Planning and Investment Department, and also the Secretary of the Company’s Youth Union, one of the outstanding young faces nationwide honored at the “Excellent Young Worker” Award in 2025.

Digitizing land maps from idea to breakthrough
Born in 1990 in Binh Phuoc in a farming family, Canh loved nature and land since childhood and had a talent for spatial thinking. After graduating from high school, he was admitted to two universities at the same time. With his natural talent for spatial and technical thinking, he chose to study at Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, which was an opportunity for him to develop his strengths, nurture his passion and gradually assert himself.
In 2014, after graduating, he returned to his hometown, applied to Loc Ninh Rubber Company Limited and began his journey of dedication and contribution with his heart and mind.
When he first started working, he realized that most of the land management data was still manual and fragmented. With his vision and determination to innovate, he boldly proposed and built a digital map system applying GIS technology for the entire management area, more than 12,300 hectares of production land.

Not only did he stop at digitizing the boundaries, he also integrated information about the orchards (age, growth, pests, productivity, etc.), helping leaders sitting in the office to still be able to monitor each plot of land and each rubber garden in detail. This is a strong transformation in production management, land use planning, and effectively supporting comprehensive operations. It is no exaggeration to say that he is the one who “redraws the digital map” for Loc Ninh, creating a sustainable digital platform from the roots – land and people.
Leader of the Creative Group, connecting technology and community
Not only is he good at his profession, as Secretary of the Company’s Youth Union, Mr. Hoang Van Canh is also an exemplary youth leader, a pioneer in innovating Youth Union activities, applying technology, and spreading the spirit of dedication among young people. He has successfully built and deployed the model “Application of artificial intelligence and digital technology in Youth Union activities”, helping to connect union members from different units, increase the effectiveness of internal communication and manage movement activities. This initiative has been recognized and highly appreciated by the Company and Binh Phuoc Provincial Youth Union.
Mr. Hoang Van Canh was honored as Outstanding Vietnamese Rubber Worker.
With outstanding achievements, Mr. Canh has been awarded many titles and certificates of merit by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc province in 2024; a certificate of merit for implementing Project 57 on digital transformation… And most recently, he was one of 51 outstanding young faces nationwide to receive the “Excellent Young Worker” Award in 2025.
Mr. Hoang Van Canh is the crystallization of professional knowledge, innovative spirit, and dedication. Without needing a great title, what he does is a living proof of the role of young people in the rubber industry in the digital transformation period, building a modern, efficient, and sustainable production.
