Chu Se – Kampong Thom Rubber: Comprehensive digitalization of the rubber raw material chain

In the context of the global rubber industry being increasingly pressured by strict market regulations, especially the European Union anti-deforestation regulations (EUDR), Chu Se – Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company has pioneered a comprehensive digital transformation. This is a strategic step, helping the Company not only improve its competitiveness, but also affirm its responsibility to the environment, community and international market.

Chu Se – Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company and Sailun Group signed a contract to buy and sell rubber latex that meets EUDR requirements according to customer requirements.

Deeply aware of the role of digital technology in sustainable development and international integration, the Company has built and deployed a comprehensive, synchronous and closely linked digital system between stages in the production chain. Digitalization not only helps automate control steps, but also minimizes manual errors, increases transparency, and fully meets the requirements for traceability according to the EU’s EUDR standards.

Digital space management with ArcGIS Pro software

Right from the planting and exploitation stages, the Company has used licensed ArcGIS Pro software to build a detailed map of the entire planting area. Each tree lot is identified by geographic coordinates, variety code, tree age, yield and specific area. This data is updated and synchronized into the traceability system, ensuring transparency and verifiability at each stage.

Record and check input using centralized management software

At the latex delivery point, staff record the output and detailed information (tapping date, tree lot, growing area, etc.) into a specialized software system. The latex is weighed and compared with the system data to ensure accuracy. This step strictly complies with VRG’s TCCS 111:2023 standard, contributing to standardizing the first stage of the supply chain.

VRG leaders awarded a certificate of merit to Chu Se – Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company, an overseas investment unit that has made outstanding achievements in implementing compliance with the European Union’s anti-deforestation regulations (EUDR).

Automate weighing and loss control in the factory

At the factory, the electronic weighing system is directly integrated into the traceability software, helping to completely eliminate errors due to manual operations. The comparison between the delivery note and the weighing data at the factory helps to accurately control the loss, ensuring that it does not exceed the level specified in Decision 87/QD-CRCK of the Company.

Manage raw material inventory with unique QR code identification

Raw materials in the warehouse are assigned a unique identification number, along with information on storage time, storage conditions and dry rubber content (DRC). The DRC testing process is strictly implemented according to VRG’s instructions, ensuring objectivity and transparency. The company has switched from determining DRC in the garden (latex with water) to determining it at the factory (latex with water), helping to make the data more accurate.

Manage processing and product quality with specialized software

During the processing stage, the Company uses a production management software system to monitor the entire process from raw materials to finished products. Each batch of latex is monitored, recorded in DRC and actual volume. The final summary data is submitted to the Board of Directors by the Organization and Administration Department for approval and adjustment of workers’ salaries (if necessary), ensuring fairness and transparency.

Trace products via QR code from warehouse to customer

Prior to leaving the factory, the product is given a unique QR code that allows customers to scan and trace the entire product journey from orchard to factory. This is a powerful transparency tool that helps increase trust and meet EUDR traceability requirements.

The company not only focuses on production, but also invests in modern management platforms such as: Base.vn – Real-time management of work, documents, and personnel. Google Shared Drives – Flexible and secure data storage and sharing system. AI security monitoring system – license plate and face recognition, access control. Mobile application & QR retrieval website – facilitates checking product origin anytime, anywhere. Automatic quality measuring equipment – integrated viscosity, plasticity, moisture measuring equipment…, optimizing quality management.
