VRG signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2025 – 2029 with Agriculture and Environment Newspaper

On the afternoon of March 12, VRG and Agriculture and Environment Newspaper organized a program to summarize the period 2022 – 2024 and a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement for the period 2025 – 2029.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach – Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Agriculture and Environment Newspaper emphasized the long-term close relationship throughout the development of both sides through many generations of rubber workers and journalists.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach also shared that during the process of formation and development, Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now Agriculture and Environment Newspaper) has also gone through many different names. The rubber industry also has many names, and has gone through many ups and downs to become a leading corporation in the country as it is today.

During that process, Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper has always followed, encouraged, and accompanied many generations of rubber workers across the country. With the support of VRG, the people working for Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper have had the opportunity to reflect on the production activities as well as the lives of rubber workers in remote areas. At the same time, they have portrayed touching stories about the lives of cadres and workers of units in the rubber industry across the country. Many works have been submitted by Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper to the Vietnam Rubber Industry Journalism Contest and have won high prizes.

In particular, in the period of 2022-2024, the activities, wishes and commitments of the two sides have reached new heights. Over the past 3 years, VRG and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper have coordinated to disseminate information on strategies and policies for developing industries; direction, management, production, business and investment activities… of VRG on the platforms of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper.

“VRG is moving towards a green strategy with three pillars, opening up new spaces with advantageous business areas such as industrial cluster warehouses, electricity, and energy. Meanwhile, Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper will merge into Agriculture and Environment Newspaper with a new space and new events that will be a mark, a fulcrum, a new direction, so that the two units have goals and tasks of cooperation in the coming time” – Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach said and pledged that Agriculture and Environment Newspaper will follow and continue to encourage and accompany VRG on the new journey.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach also expressed his gratitude to rubber workers across the country who have always accompanied and stood side by side, helping the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper to successfully complete its journalistic tasks and missions.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach believes that the signing of the cooperation agreement today will mark a new phase of cooperation between VRG and the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper as well as the friendly cooperative relationship between the two sides, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of each side, while bringing common benefits to the whole society in the coming time.

“The image, brand and achievements of VRG in production and business activities, taking care of workers’ lives, social security… are continuously published by central and local press agencies on the media” – Mr. Le Thanh Hung said and informed that VRG and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now Agriculture and Environment Newspaper) have had a very long and affectionate cooperation and attachment.

VRG General Director hopes that with the cooperation period 2025 – 2029, the two sides will continue to promote existing traditions, while building a cooperative relationship at a new level, in line with the strategic goals of both sides.

“We will coordinate to publish and disseminate the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper to the Group’s production and business units and teams nationwide. Thereby, the Group has the opportunity to access specialized information in an official, fast and timely manner; as a document serving production; as spiritual food to improve the spiritual life of cadres and employees” – VRG General Director said.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the two sides is not only a continuation of the good cooperative relationship but also an important milestone, marking a new turning point in the partnership between VRG and the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper.

Both units pledge to continue to cooperate closely to improve communication effectiveness, contributing to the sustainable development of the rubber industry, as well as other areas of VRG.

In particular, in the new cooperation phase, Agriculture and Environment Newspaper will continue to accompany the Group in producing press and media products such as articles, reports, videos, etc. to disseminate official and timely information to VRG production units nationwide. Through this, the press will play an important role in improving the spiritual life of staff and employees and promoting the development of the rubber industry.

The signing ceremony is also an opportunity for the two units to look back on the 96-year development journey of the Vietnamese rubber industry and the 80-year operation of the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper), continuing to affirm the important role of the rubber industry in the national economy, as well as in improving the quality of life of the people, especially workers in remote areas.

VRG currently manages more than 100 subsidiaries and 16 affiliated companies, manufacturing and trading in diverse industries such as rubber, wood, rubber industrial products, and high-tech agriculture. Recently, VRG has also expanded into the field of renewable energy, along with a sustainable development strategy, focusing on environmental protection and contributing to community development.

In 2025, VRG sets a revenue target of nearly VND 27,500 billion (4.5% higher than in 2024). At the same time, it will care for the lives of over 81,000 workers in all regions across the country, in remote areas, and ethnic minority areas.
